I’m really looking forward to this Thanksgiving break. I’ve been working on some blog articles and the redesign of my site. So stay tuned, changes are coming soon hopefully. Here is what I found interesting this week:
- A List Apart: Issue 272
Two solid articles from A List Apart again, but I thought This is How the Web Gets Regulated was especially interesting. There are definitely holes in web accessibility, and people like Joe Clark are helping to fill those holes. A More Useful 404 was an interesting concept, but I’m not sure how I feel about it being done with Perl and SSI.
- Demo of some thoughtful UI on Ffffound.com
Wow, I had heard of Ffffound but didn’t know that it had so much thought put into the UI. Definitely some great minds behind it.
- College Stops Giving Students New Email Accounts: Start Of New Trend?
Definitely a smart move at Boston College. It definitely seems unnecessary to give students another email account when they probably already have at least one.
- 10 Steps to a Client Friendly WordPress CMS
WordPress is a great choice as a CMS for powering small sites, but for the non-techie user, it can be a little challenging. Here are a few tips to help make it easier for them.
- Now Boarding
Dave Shea decided that he was going to try and fly without using a paper boarding pass, and he was only going to use the digital version of the boarding pass on his iPhone. This definitely seems like it is going to be the way boarding passes are handled in the future, but we still may be a little ways away from that.
